What does it take to create a masterpiece? Well, for this Chinese artist, it took one tree, four years of hard work, and an astounding amount of talent. You’ll be floored when you see the end result of all his labors!

After obtaining the trunk, master wood carver Zheng Chunhui worked tirelessly for four whole years to create his masterpiece.
The carving itself is based on a famous Chinese painting, “Along the River During the Qingming Festival”. The original painting is thought to be well over 1,000 years old.
This piece is a Guinness World Record holder for the longest wooden carving in the world. It’s over 40 feet in size. The exact measurements are: 12.286 meters long, 3.075 meters tall at it highest point, and 2.401 meters wide.
The level of detail and intricacy, carving out scenes of daily life from ancient China, is simply mind-blowing.
