From Hope to Hypocrisy II
Remember how Obama promised to flush the lobbyists out of Washington?
There would be no need for lobbyists if the government hadn’t bloated into an oppressive obscenity. When this was a free country, it made much more sense for companies to devote their resources to developing more competitive products rather than to bribing the thugs in Washington to break the other guy’s legs instead of theirs. Lobbyists are only a symptom; the disease is authoritarian statism. Obama is its personification.
